Personal Thoughts

I think overall the games project went well, there where alot of fun and creative things to do, I had a lot of input towards the final level and the finalboss characters.

I think that there where also aspects i would have liked to change, maybe have some different people in the group, but I guess everybody is creative and has there own ideas and opinions on things.

I would have liked to do a shooting game rather than an adventure game, but i think its more harder for an adventure game so you have to step up and be more open and suggestive, and you have to be more creative which makes your brain tick.

I think if we where to do a shoo0ter game we would have had a lot more fun with it and not taken it to seriously, but i think the ultimate goal would have been achieved. I dont think it was achieved with the adventure game we where doing, i had a lot of probelms with Maya, one being i have no idea how to you use it and two that there wasnt enough time to learn how to use it as i had other assests to fulfill.

The programmers were a fun bunch of guys to work with but at times where also ery very confused on what they wanted, because of that we had to design things over and over again, because this wasnt just our game it was theres too.

Because we spent so much time designing we had hardly enough time to construct things on maya, some people in our group where very perficient and had great knowledge of maya, i had some basic tutorials but non he less still found it very difficult to use hence there being not much maya work from myself. But we as a group did discuss the issue i had and there were ok with me not doing much on maya as long as i had enough designs for them to work off.

Overall i enjoyed myself and would like to part take in something like this again as it was an experience and was something tht i wanted to do, concept art and character design is what i want to go into and i did alot of that.

THE EFFECTS IN THIS VIDEO ARE OF MY OWN CREATION AND SLOWED DOWN (which was diificult because there not meant to be performed slow) SO THAT IF I WANTED TO USE THEM AS REFFERENCE TO ANIMATE I WOULD KNOW HOW TO DO IT.

I CAME UP WITH THIS VIDEO BECAUSE I THOUGHT THAT THE BOSS FOR LEVEL 3 MIGHT NEED SOME OF THESE EFFECTS, BUT NOT WITH CARDS, I HAVENT FIGURED OUT WHAT HE'D BE USING INSTEAD OF CARDS BUT THE IDEA IS STILL IN THE AIR, BUT NON THE LESS THE REFFERENCE IS THERE JUST INCASE I WANT TO USE IT.

CRISS ANGEL - THE MODERN DAY HOUDINI - THATS WHAT PEOPLE SAY, HE NOTICED FOR HIS AMAZING ILLUSIONS, THINGS THAT NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN, HE IS THE YOUNGEST MAGICIAN WHO HAS WON AN EMMY 4 TIMES FOR STAGE MAGIC, HE IS ALSO ONE FO THE RICHEST MAGICIANS TODAY.




I WANTED TO USE ONE OF CRISS ANGELS ILLUSIONS, THE LEVITATION, I LIKED THIS TRICK BECAUSE PEOPLE KNOW OF OT, BUT NOT LIKE THE WAY CRISS ANGEL PERFOMED IT, HIGH IN THE SKY AND RECORDED FROM MULTIPLE CAMERAS INCLUDING A MOBILE PHONE.


I WANTED TO USE THE LEVIATION TRICK WITH MY BOSS BECAUSE AS I STATED IN PREVIOUS POSTS THAT HE WAS A MASTER OF ILLUSION.

THATS WHY I WANTED HIM TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO LIFT OF THE GROUND.

HOUDINI - POSSIBLY THE GREATEST ESCAPE ARTIST IN THE WORLD, EVEN THOUGH HE DIED IN THE 1940'S, EVERYBODY KNOWS OR HAS HEARD OF THIS MAN. AN ESCAPE ARTIST IS SOMEBODY WHO IS PUT IN AN IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION WHERE THEY ARE FACING DEATH OR A FEAT THAT CAN NOT BE DONE, BUT WHEN ALL SEEMINEVITABLE, THEY COME THROUGH. ESCAPING DEATH. THAT WHAT THIS MAN WAS FAMOUS FOR.





PEOPLE USED TO TIE HIM UP IN ALL SORTS OF LOCK AND CHAIN, BUT "BOTHING CAN HOLD HOUSINI PRISONER", HE ESCAPED FROM EVERYTHING, THERE WAS NO WAY HE COULD BE CONFINED.
I USED HOUDINI AS A REFFERENCE TO MY LEVEL 3 BOSS BECAUSE I WANTED HIM TO SEEM AS IF NOTHING COUOLD STOP THIS BEAST, EVEN IFR MAN WAS TO CAPTURE HIM HE WOULD STILL ESCAPE.

Weapon Design Refference #3





I USED THE WHIPS AS PART OF MY WEAPON DESIGN, I ONLY USED IT FOR THE END THOUGH, AS A SECONDARY WEAPON.

THE WHIP IS KNKOWN TO LEAVE SEVERE MARKS, SCARS AND WOUNDS. IT SOMETIMES IS USED FOR HORSES AND PREVIOUSLY USED FOR SLAVES.

IT IS SOMETIMES LEATHER, METAL OR SOMETIMES A COMBINATION OF BOTH.

THE MACE ......... LOOKING AT THIS WEAPON IS SHIOCKING ENOUGHM BUT USING THIS IN COMBAT WILL DEFFINATLEY LEAVE A MARK OR LEAVE YOUR OPPONENT RUNNING OR BEGGING FOR MERCY.

THIS WEAPON IS KNKOWN FOR CRUSHING THE ENEMYS SKULL, IT WEIGHS A TON AND TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY IS IS COVERED IN SPIKES TO PENETRATE YOUR ENEMY MAKING SURE IT HAS LEFT A MARK, SOMETIMES IT IS POSSIBLE TO LEAD TO DEATH.

I LOOKED AT THIS DESIGN AND THOUGHT THATS IT, THATS THE DESIGN I WANT, SO INSTEAD OF USING THW WHOLE DESIGN I ONLY USED THE SPIKED BALL.

I CHOSE THE NUN CHUCKS DESIGN BECAUSE OF ITS ABILITY ....... SPEED !!!

THE NUN CHUCK IF USED RIGHT, TRAVELS AT LIGHTENING SPEED AND CAN POSSIBLY KILL AN OPPONENT.

SO FOR MY DESIGN I USED ONE OF THE HANDLES, BUT WHAT I DID WAS USE THE GRIP IF IT MORE THAN THE ACTUAL USE OF IT.

IF YOU SEE MY DESIGN I HAVE INCORPARATED IT INTO THERE.

"BOSS" Weapon Design #1


THIS WAS THE FIRST WEAPON DESIGN I DID, BUT I WASNT VERY IMPRESSED WITH IT, IT LOOKS LIKE THE GRIM REAPERS AXE, BUT WHAT I DID WAS EXTEND THE FRONT BIT AND MAKE IT ABNORMALLY BIG SO THAT IT WOULD BE HALF THE SIZE OF THE BOSS, THE END BIT I DIDNT PARTICALLY LIKE BECAUSE IT WASNT RELEVANT TO THE DESIGN, I GUESS THATS WHY THEY CALL IT CONCEPT ART.




THE CLASSIC BALL AND CHAIN WEPON, THERE IS NOTHING REALLY THAT IS MINE OTHER THAN ME COMPILING ALL OTHER WEPONS INTO ONE DESIGN, I HAD THE CHAIN AND BALL, WITH THE SPIKES, THE NUN CHUK HANDLE AND A WHIP ON THE END OF THE HANDLE. STILL NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE DESIGN. COULD HAVE DONE ALOT MORE WITH IT.

Level 3 Designs #2






HERE IS A BIRDS EYE VIEW OF WHAT THE LEVEL LOOKS LIKE, IT IS NOT COMPLETED VBUT IS NEAR THE END STAGES, I HAVE A FEW THIGS LEFT TO PUT IN, THE ONLY THING IS IM NOT SURE IF I SHOULD ADD SOME KIND OF GREEN OR VEGITATION, SO FOR NOW I WILL LEAVE THAT, BUT STILL KEEPING IN MIND WHAT THAT MIGHT ADD TO THE DEPTH PF TH LEVEL.

HERE YOU CAN SEE THE ENTRANCE WHICH IS IN THE BOTOM RIGHT HAND CORNER ON IN THE LEFT TOP CORNER YOU CAN SEE THE FORTRESS OF THE MAIN BOSS, THERE WILL HAVE TO BE SOMEHWERE WHERE I CAN ADD A MINI GAME, BUT NOT TO SURE ABOUT THAT YET, I'LL HAVE TOP SPEAK TO THE ANIMATORS ABOUT THAT.

MY PERSONAL ASSETS

1. DESIGN CHARACTER FOR LEVEL 3

needs to be a huge if not giant character, where the main character has to look up to this character, character needs to have marks on him from previous battles, also need to suggest that he is a cannibal, dont want him to be humnan, but want him to pass of as one. needs to look horrible and disfigured (need to find out because this contraverts another thing), needs to have some kind of hair, dont want him to be bold.




2. DESIGN SOME OF THE WEAPONS FOR NTHE MAIN BOSS

i have only given the main boss one wepon as he also has his strenghth as another weapon, but as a bonus ive given him a shield, which is broken and torn on the edges, i will have to design his main weapon which im thinking should be an axe.




3. DESIGN SOME OF THE LEVEL

design some of the 3rd level, i say some because i am working with somebody else. design a basic layout for a snow mountain - what the programmers suggested - i have to make it believable.

HERE IS A ROUGH SKETCH OF THE FINAL BOSS (level 3) I STILL HAVENT FINISHED HIM YET IN THIS DRAWING, THERE ARE A FEW THINGS I NEED TO SORT OUT, THATS WHY THERE ARTE NOTES ON THE DRAWING.



1 - HE IS TO THIN IN THIS DRAWING SO I NEED TO BULK HIM UP MORE.
2 - NEED TO MAKE HIS HAIR LONGER.
3 - MORE TATTOOS AND SCARS NEEDED.



THESE ARE JUST A FEW THINGS THAT NEED ADJUSTING, BUT ONCE IM DONE IT WILL LOOK EPIC.

HERE IS A CLOSE UP OF WHAT THE THIRD LEVEL BOSS LOOKS LIKE, I WAS ASKED BY THE OTHERS IN THE GROUP TO DO A DEATILED VERSION OF HIS FACE, SO THIS IS MY FINAL OF THE BOSS.

I ADDED RED EYES TO HIM, IT IS SUGGESTED THAT RED EYES MEAN THE DEVIL / EVIL / OR POSSESED, BLUE EYES MEAN COOL (as in calm) / BLESSED etc


I ADDED HIS TEETH COMING OUT OF HIS MOUTH BECAUSE HE IS AN OVER GROWEN CHARACTER AND EVERYTHING ELSE ON HIM IS OVERGROWN TOO, LIKE HIS ARMS, HANDS, LEGS, SO I THOUGHT IF I WAS DOING A DETAILED VERSION OF HIS FACE THEN I MIGHT ASWELL GIVE HIM OVERGORWN SHARP CROOKED TEETH.

I ADDED THE BLOOD BECAUSE IT ALSO SUGGESTS THAT HE EATS OF THE LAND, CREATURES LIKE SHEEP (which are found in snowy mountains) AND HUMANS.

IVE ALSO ADDED THE BATTLE SCARS ON HIS FACE SOME OF WHICH THE WOUNDS ARE STILL OPENING AND OZZING OUT BLOOD.
